It’s Time for Some Fun in Mumbai

Mumbai - the city of Bollywood, this is truly the most hip and happening place of India, in terms of events being held. Being the hub of Bollywood, this city is always full of shows with Indian as well as Hollywood stars. Located right beside the Arabian Sea, Mumbai makes a beautiful city over line. Did you know that the coastline of Mumbai is more than 149kms! Apart from this Mumbai is of course home of the dabbawallahs.



So, if you are wondering what to do in a weekend in Mumbai, here are some interesting events in Mumbai, which you can take part in-
  1. A touch of Bollywood- What is Mumbai if you haven’t got a taste of Bollywood? You can go for a bus tour in the Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari. It is a tour through the film city for almost two hours. This is located quite near the Whistling Woods International, a well known film school. This tour will show you around the film city and you will get to see old sets and studios and even new ones. This place is laden with history and information, all of which the tour guide will provide to you. If you have not taken this tour before, you must take some time out and try this.
    • Venue: Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagri
      Goregaon (East) Mumbai, Maharashtra- 400065
    • Date: The tour begins from 13th of April and continues till 30th of April, 2016
    • Time: There are three tours per day. The first one begins at 12:10PM, the next one at 02:20PM and the last one of the day at 04:30PM.
    • Ticket cost: rupees 599 per person

    Do try this tour out, and if you are lucky you might catch a few of your stars in action in the sets!
  2. Indulge into the fun of photography- If you love to take pictures, then you already know that Mumbai is a photographer’s heaven. There is no dearth of subjects to be found in this city. You can attend a photography exhibition y Ajay Bhatia who pays a tribute to the great architect Le Corbusier. His photos will concentrate on the cityscape of Chandigarh, since it was designed by Le Corbusier. This is not all. You can win exciting prizes as well. All you have to do is take a picture of a famous Mumbai architecture and send it in within the 24th of April.

    • Date: The exhibition opens on 13th of April and will be there till the 24th of the month.
    • Time: The exhibition opens everyday at 11:00AM.
  3. It’s show time- Watch the play Tota Maina ki Kahani if you want a hilarious take on what happens when the husband’s mother-in-law turns up and an always bickering but loving couple have to pretend in front of everyone that they do not have a single thing to snap about at each other. Gaurav Sharma and Kajal Vashista play the lead pair.

    • Date: 22nd of April, 2016(Friday)
    • Time: 7:30PM
    • Ticket charges: The charges may vary between rupees 300 to rupees 1200 per person.
