Ayurveda And Its Uniqueness

It is said that Ayurveda dates back to a 5000 year old tradition and it has stood strong since then. This has its origin in the Vedas of India and it is said to be the oldest study in order to heal people from physical ailments.

All the Ayurvedic medicines that are available are mainly prepared on the basis of 3 doshas known as Pitta, Vata and Kapha. It is said that all the energies as well as the diseases originate from these 3 energies only.

The major goal of the Ayurvedic hospitals in Mumbai is to help people to live long and help them also to love a balanced life. It also claims that people can stay away from complicated surgeries and increase their life span by choosing certain paths in life. Not only in India, where it is a kind of traditional practice, Ayurveda has also gained a lot of attention in the other parts of the world as well. There are many places where it is practiced widely and very sincerely.

The major health conditions treated by Ayurvedas are:

Alzheimer’s disease
Asthma
Dementia
Anxiety or depression
Cancer
Herpes
Parkinson’s disease
Dysmenorrhea  or problems in menstruation
High blood pressure or cholesterol
Premenstrual syndrome or cramps

There are many Ayurvedic herbs which are prescribed by the doctors and it not only includes medications but also yogas and meditations. It can also be very helpful in treating problems like chronic constipations, acne, obesity and fatigue syndrome.

Now the question is how do these medicines work? Well, there are many practitioners of Ayurveda who recommends a balanced diet to their patients along with some lifestyle rules and some herbal remedies to keep the body on track. According to Ayurvedic studies, every human body is unique in terms of their individual balance the 3 main energies mentioned earlier. Some has some prominent doshas while the other has different ones. Thus the treatment procedure also varies from one person to another. This is not like other medical science where there is a similar approach for every patient to a certain kind of disease. Ayurveda always concentrates on an individual and then after studying their health condition one can prescribe a proper treatment.

Here are the 3 doshas of Ayurveda:

Vata

It is an energy which is like wind. It is mainly responsible for certain actions in a human body like motion, mobility, circulation and breathing. It is an energetic part of the doshas and all the vata types are said to be very energetic and creative.

Pitta

It is a kind of energy which regulates the metabolic activities and absorbing nutrients in the human body. It also aids in digestion process and it also controls the body temperature of a human being.

Kapha

This energy on the other hand controls the body growth and it has all the nourishing qualities.
All these have to be in proper balance so that the human body works perfectly
